NGON-blog-post-final-1

Acacia Communications is excited to be returning to the Next Generation Optical Networking — Europe (or NGON ) at the Acropolis Nice in France for our 4th year. We look forward to hearing insightful perspective from carriers, cloud providers, OEMs and peers. Our team of experts is available to discuss Acacia Communications’ latest innovations in optical interconnect solutions, including:

  • Pluggable Modules: CFP2 form factor ACO and DCO optics supporting 100G/200G and the roadmap to 400G pluggable.
  • Technology Innovations: Silicon Photonics and DSP innovations driving ultra-low power and high capacity coherent solutions, including our BGA PIC and 1.2Tbps DSP technology.
  • Coherent Standardization: Today, Acacia modules enable a form of interoperability between OEMs. Looking toward 400G, the industry is developing standards that will enable interoperability between DSP vendors.  This will open up exciting new opportunities for coherent technology.

The market for cloud-based services for IT infrastructure and applications is expected to grow 23% in the next three years, according to research from IHS Markit. As demand for these services grows, cloud providers will face significant challenges in scaling network capacity, optimizing network resources and simplifying operations. We are excited to hear the latest from our colleagues in the industry and share our latest developments as we work to address the needs of tomorrow’s optical networks, today.

From the venue itself — the amazing Palais des Congrès Acropolis Nice — to an event beach party to, well, Nice itself, there’s no shortage of great things happening within and beyond the NGON event. For more information on planning your trip (including an event fun run(!)), click here.
