During the OFC 2025 Executive Forum, Acacia’s VP of Marketing Tom Williams discussed how AI use cases are driving industry investment and technology transitions – from scale up, scale out, to scale across. His presentation highlighted how the adoption of coherent pluggables is expanding to more of the network and moving to shorter reaches. Tom also touched on the momentum behind 800ZR/ZR+ and 400G ultra-long haul modules, which are gaining traction with a variety of trials already successfully completed.
