Acacia Gives the “Gift of Giving”

The holiday season is upon us and in true Acacia spirit, we once again looked for ways to give back to our community. Our company and employees have a lot to be thankful for and what better way to show our gratefulness than by giving to those less fortunate.
Toys for Kids Drive
Once again, Acacia has partnered with the Maynard Police Department on their annual Toys for Kids drive for needy children in the Maynard area. This is Acacia’s 10th year participating in this amazing program to support children ages 2-12. All toys collected through the drive are gifted to local children and families in need. We are so proud to be involved in this initiative.
Acacia employees have been dropping off un-wrapped gifts and other donations since December 2nd. Trista Manchuso from the Maynard Police Department, pictured below with Acacia employees, picked up the toys our employees generously donated!
Maynard’s Backpack Program for Children
Also this season, Acacia employees donated their time to support the Maynard Backpack Program. This initiative provides food assistance for children in the community by providing nutritious non-perishable food for kids on weekends during the school year. Our hearts were full as we joined other volunteers to load backpacks with healthy breakfasts, lunches and snack items. These backpacks were then given to local children on Fridays to make sure they did not go hungry over the weekend.
Once again, we are humbled by the kindness and true spirit of giving shown by our employees. This holiday season – and throughout the year – we hope that people everywhere participate in these and other charitable causes to help those less fortunate.
