Massachusetts has a reputation for cultivating world-class tech talent, and being home to entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, top-tier academic institutions and startup incubators. This year, we were thrilled to join some of Massachusetts’ best and brightest to celebrate the innovation economy, our place in it, and the year’s biggest tech achievements at Boston TechJam 2017.

On June 15, we invaded Boston’s City Hall Plaza (with a few thousand of our closest friends from the Massachusetts tech community) for a celebration of the area’s brightest tech minds. City Hall Plaza was transformed into the block party of the year, featuring local music, food and some of the coolest craft brews in the region. Shout out to Datadog for the cool t-shirts!

Our team mingled with members of the Boston tech community and showed off our 3D art display, which put TechJam-goers “on top of the world.” The chalk art was created by Sean Fitzpatrick, a professional 3D chalk artist and sculptor.

Acacia employees Timo Phau, Leo Gray, Glenn Miller, Tom Williams, Renee Pianka and I enjoyed connecting with people at the event.

Visitors to our booth were encouraged to tweet a picture of themselves with the 3D art tagged with the hashtag #BTJ2017 for a chance to win a FitBit from Acacia.
